How to be aware
Four small habits, one safer country.
Pause
Nothing urgent is truly urgent. A ten-second pause defuses most scams, most quarrels, most crashes.
Verify
Call back on an official number. Search the licence. Check the sender. Trust is earned, not messaged.
Speak
Ask 'are you okay?' Report the wrong. Warn the family group. Quiet is fine — silent is not.

A story
One phone call. Six years of savings.
In Petaling Jaya, a retired teacher answered a call from someone claiming to be a Bank Negara officer. Her IC number was correct. The voice was calm. Within two hours she had transferred RM380,000 to a 'safe account' — every ringgit she had saved. She called her daughter after. Her daughter called 997. The bank froze the receiving account with RM40,000 still inside. The rest was gone in minutes.
She was not stupid. She was polite, tired, and asked to keep it confidential. That is how these scams work — not against fools, but against decent people caught in a decent moment.
Awareness is not a lecture. It is a small voice inside that says: pause. Call your daughter first.
Mission
Awareness is a small act with a big shadow.
NAX Aware exists to remind Malaysians of the quiet ethics behind ordinary choices — online, on the road, at work, and at home. No noise. No lectures. Just clear words worth remembering, in the two languages most of us grew up between.
Written for Malaysia
Real laws, real numbers, real places. Every reference is Malaysian — MIROS, SPRM, JPDP, Bank Negara, NSRC.
Two languages, one heart
Read in English or 中文 — whichever your family reads best. Nothing is lost in translation because both are written first.
Free, forever
No paywall, no ads, no tracking that follows you around the internet. Awareness should not be a product.
If something feels wrong
Speak up. Quietly is fine.
Save these to your phone. Tap once to call — even outside office hours, most lines answer 24/7.

Awareness does not spread on its own. It travels through the group chat, through the dinner table, through the WhatsApp you send to your mother.
